Accessibility statement

PMNCH is committed to making the #Act4WCA campaign site usable for everyone, including people with disabilities, in line with our commitment to equity, rights and inclusion.

Standards we aim for

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor and cognitive disabilities.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML with clear landmarks and heading structure.
  • Alt text on informative images and empty alt on decorative ones.
  • Descriptive labels on interactive controls, including icon-only buttons.
  • Keyboard access for navigation, menus, forms and dialogs.
  • Visible focus indicators on links, buttons and form fields.
  • Colour contrast that meets WCAG AA for body text and UI controls.
  • Responsive layout that reflows on mobile, tablet and desktop.
  • Support for browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content.
  • Descriptive page titles and metadata for screen readers and search.

Known limitations

Some third-party content, such as embedded videos, podcasts and external documents, may not fully meet WCAG AA. Where possible we provide transcripts, captions or plain-text alternatives, and we work with partners to improve accessibility over time.
